Immediate opening: we are hiring a landscape gardener in Dillingham Census Area, Alaska. You will prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules $32 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
