Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tree and shrub pruner in Orange County, Vermont. The job is at a private estate garden. What we are looking for: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish Your main tasks: • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed Overtime paid at a premium rate.
