Immediate opening: finish carpenter (Texas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a finish carpenter in Gray County, Texas. You will be based at a kitchen and furniture manufacturer. The role involves fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage Six days a week, one day off.
