We are recruiting: crawler crane operator (Kano State)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in Sumaila, Kano State. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. What we are looking for: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging On the job you will handle: • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. ₦270,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
