Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick mason in Apache County, Arizona. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. On a typical shift you will setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation. Ideal candidate: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Rotating shifts.
