Sand plant operator • Williamson County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Williamson County, Texas. You will work at a busy iron foundry. The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal 4+ years on the tools preferred. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
