Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Kunchi, Kano State. The job is at a shipyard. The role involves: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight Requirements: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Confident with standard crane hand signals Rotating shifts.
