Finishing presser — Jama'Are

Immediate opening: we are hiring a finishing presser in Jama'Are, Bauchi State. You will be based in a garment export house. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Day-to-day duties: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics Part-time with flexible hours.
