Join our team: we are hiring a banksman in Gada, Sokoto State. You will be based at a busy construction site. You should have: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Day to day you will select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio.
