Trowel-trade bricklayer — Sangamon County

Now hiring: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Sangamon County, Illinois. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. The role involves mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
