Trowel-trade bricklayer — Douglas County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Douglas County, Oregon. Ideal candidate: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one The role involves: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
