Head baker — Madison County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a head baker in Madison County, Florida. You will be based at a neighbourhood confectionery. Requirements: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Able to work early-morning and night shifts On a typical shift you will weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; load and unload the deck oven with a peel; check finished products for colour, crumb and weight; keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
