Now hiring: we are hiring a butcher in Allamakee County, Iowa. Day-to-day duties: • Season and marinate meat on request • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders Requirements: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
