Crane operator — Sangamon County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a crane operator in Sangamon County, Illinois. Requirements: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Day-to-day duties: • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
