Great opportunity: ladle pourer (Illinois)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Kane County, Illinois. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding The role involves assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
