Immediate opening: we are hiring a finishing presser in Dorset, England. Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Day-to-day duties: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Give each garment a final press before packing • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. £2,450 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
