Urgent requirement: trainee butcher (Virginia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Smyth County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. The role involves: • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Season and marinate meat on request • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Six days a week, one day off.
