Great opportunity: lifting rigger (England)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Kent, England. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. Day to day you will attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; read lift plans and method statements before starting; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
