Now hiring: we are hiring a laundry presser in Jefferson County, Kentucky. The job is at a garment factory. Requirements: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Your main tasks: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Give each garment a final press before packing • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron Rotating shifts.
