You should have: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts On a typical shift you will write and edit G-code programs at the control; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; load and index turning tools in the turret; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances.
