Finishing presser — Bedford

Join our team: we are hiring a finishing presser in Bedford, England. What we are looking for: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine The role involves spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; give each garment a final press before packing; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents.
