Immediate opening: we are hiring a gardener in Franklin County, Vermont. You will be based at a plant nursery. Ideal candidate: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules On the job you will handle: • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease Pay around $5,200 per month, based on your experience.
