Immediate opening: metal caster (Florida)

Join our team: we are hiring a metal caster in Flagler County, Florida. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Day to day you will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. We offer $4,700 per month plus benefits. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
