We are recruiting: we are hiring a sausage maker in Hudson County, New Jersey. The job is at a busy retail butcher's shop. You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate On the job you will handle: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Season and marinate meat on request • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone Part-time with flexible hours.
