Immediate opening: meat cutter (Florida)

Now hiring: we are hiring a meat cutter in Dixie County, Florida. You will be based in a supermarket meat department. The role involves: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date You should have: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $5,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
