Immediate opening: we are hiring a confectioner in Putnam County, Ohio. The job is at a café with an on-site bakery. You will keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch. Requirements: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to work early-morning and night shifts Full-time with occasional weekends. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
