You should have: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Willing to work shifts and overtime Day-to-day duties: • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
