Urgent requirement: cnc lathe operator (Illinois)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a cnc lathe operator in Washington County, Illinois. You will work in a precision engineering workshop. On the job you will handle: • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances What we are looking for: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
