Urgent requirement: we are hiring a plant operator in Gillespie County, Texas. The job is on a busy civils and groundworks site. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site The role involves: • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
