Nursery worker — Providence County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a nursery worker in Providence County, Rhode Island. You will work in a public park. Day to day you will check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease. What we are looking for: • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting We offer $4,200 per month plus benefits.
