Now hiring: press shop operator (Texas)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a press shop operator in Carson County, Texas. You will be based in a forging and pressing unit. Your main tasks: • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area You should have: • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
