Lift maintenance fitter — Cornwall

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lift maintenance fitter in Cornwall, England. You will work at a busy lift company. Day to day you will fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; measure rope tension and check for broken strands. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
