What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Own basic hand tools and PPE The role involves control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run.
