Trainee butcher — Olorunda

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Olorunda, Osun State. The job is at a busy retail butcher's shop. On a typical shift you will keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; season and marinate meat on request; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts. You should have: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
