Requirements: • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Current Driver CPC qualification card The role involves: • Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules • Complete delivery notes, CMR paperwork and proof-of-delivery • Present documents at weighbridges and check posts • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
