Furnace operator — Shelleng

Now hiring: we are hiring a furnace operator in Shelleng, Adamawa State. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day to day you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry 6+ years on the tools preferred.
