Port container crane operator wanted in Wheeler County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Wheeler County, Oregon. You will be based on a high-rise tower crane. The role involves: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure What we are looking for: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $5,250 per project, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
