You should have: • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel The role involves polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush; skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration; apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork; set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work; float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge; clean trowels, buckets and mixers before the plaster sets.
