Immediate opening: abattoir worker (Michigan)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Jackson County, Michigan. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Day to day you will vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; season and marinate meat on request; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts. You should have: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter We offer $4,000 per month plus benefits.
