Steam press operator — Washington County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steam press operator in Washington County, Oregon. The job is in a busy laundry. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Day-to-day duties: • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Give each garment a final press before packing • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Full-time with occasional weekends.
