Urgent requirement: fettler (Virginia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fettler in Bath County, Virginia. The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills 2+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
