Immediate opening: uPVC welding machine operator (England)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an uPVC welding machine operator in Blackpool, England. You will be based at a uPVC door and window showroom-cum-workshop. On a typical shift you will drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame; cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees; crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame; fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam; glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square; fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents. You should have: • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
