Immediate opening: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Apa, Benue State. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. Your main tasks: • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge Requirements: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Part-time with flexible hours.
