Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pastry baker in Orange County, Virginia. The job is at a busy bakery. The role involves: • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream Requirements: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks 4+ years on the tools preferred.
