Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Summit County, Utah. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Part-time with flexible hours. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
