Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Gyalshing, Sikkim. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot On the job you will handle: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel 2+ years on the tools preferred.
