Urgent requirement: we are hiring a wood machinist in Curry County, Oregon. You will work on a residential housebuilding project. Ideal candidate: • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers The role involves: • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
