Retail butcher • Dane County, Wisconsin

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a retail butcher in Dane County, Wisconsin. You will be based in a meat processing plant. The role involves: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone What we are looking for: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers 2+ years on the tools preferred. $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
