Immediate opening: press shop operator (Illinois)

Now hiring: we are hiring a press shop operator in Edwards County, Illinois. The job is in a metal fabrication workshop. You should have: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred You will watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean; record output and downtime on the production sheet.
