Head butcher — Calhoun County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a head butcher in Calhoun County, Texas. You will be based at a wholesale meat market. Your main tasks: • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case What we are looking for: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Six days a week, one day off.
